skeleton-operated meat mecha

vulnerable to radiant damage

finally managed to make it through the whole game and all the expansions. blood, at least on well done, is not a game that lends itself through burning through a lot of levels quickly. and that isn't even the hardest difficulty! it's pretty crazy how much of the difficulty of the game is driven by the basic hitscanners - once the more advanced enemies start coming more regularly in the later episodes, the game gets somewhat easier. the game really does demand that you get good at tossing dynamite, although in many cases the napalm launcher works well too for keep hitscanners out of line of sight. there's usually way more ammo than you'd need for both unless you're trying to pitchfork start every level or something. also shoutout to the turret mode of the life leech staff, which saved uncountable amounts of ammunition.

next up? it's finally time to give that quake ii remaster a go. i don't have any nostalgia for it or anything but i'm still looking forward to trying it out.
