oh boy i hope you're hungary for some worldwide music. this week we have a recent release and a couple of other quick hits.
this is a whopping 74 minutes of uninterrupted hungarian-sung septet-performed prog rock action, adapting le petit prince to the concept album stage. it's perhaps worth noting that the music contained within is progressive in the same way that mid-20th century architecture is modern, and aims to evoke the spirit of the 70s greats of the genre such as yes and genesis.
on the flip side of the spectrum we have kaltenecker - marko pumping out super-minimalist, djent-adjacent beats as a drum and keyboard duo. the full album apparently came out in april but i have neglected to check it out.
bonus round! the rules technically exclude anime ops but while we're in hungary i couldn't help but include the opening for paripi koumei coming out of your left speaker while the 2013 hungarian pop song it covered comes out of the right speaker.
if you take one thing away from this post: watch paripi koumei
