i suspect even asking someone to provide this information in their direct response as a test might be a crime...
part of me wants to say the auditor is just doing a dark web side hustle but i have met people this out to lunch in similar roles with governmental entities in the last few years so i am inclined to believe they really believed this was the best way to do things
step 1. email me all your passwords in plaintext (also please do not use the gpg key in my bio, it has to be unencrypted)
i gotta say this is one of those “how many victims (malicious)” has this auditor had or “how many victims (incompetent)” has this auditor had or “how much does the auditor owe to someone willing to break kneecaps” situations. money is on 2 but 3 would be wild
