in lieu of an issue tracker i have simply started leaving // TODO all over my codebase and honestly it's kind of working out so far
remains to be seen if it's sustainable, but honesly grep -R TODO kinda beats waiting for github to load/refresh

Is this where I get to inform you there is a CLI tool for github and it kind of owns for tracking issues, and without it I would have died at my last job? :v
(I am guilty of letting the TODOs get out of control, or looking at something and going "why was this a TODO? I forgor 💀". Learn from my failures!!)
woah that's actually super slick!! i unfortunately was being cheeky with the github comparison on my solo project (i'm hosting my own VCS) but next time i have to use github i'll definitely try this out! ty for as always super useful shares
(long-time arch linux user voice) it's plain git over ssh 🤪
thank you for the links though! once i finally get fed up with doing it the hard way (or add literally any amount of other contributors besides just me) i'll probably install forgejo, so it's nice to know there's good tooling for that out there too!
And if you're using Visual Studio with Visual Assist X, you can find all comments starting with a hashtag (like // #TODO, // #FIXME, // #HACK, etc.) in a panel called VA Hashtags!
nice!! i think CLion has that functionality buried somewhere too. IDEs are pretty much a foreign tool to my workflow, but they've come a really long way since i started programming!
