Just because it's important to say it from time to time : there's no wrong way to be trans.

I am not currently on and at the moment have no plans to get on HRT. For me it doesn't make sense to pursue, I don't want to be a man but I'm not a woman, and HRT just moves that problem to the other side of the gender binary.

On the other hand, if you think HRT is right for you then go for it. Experiences are not universal and what works for me may not be right for you and vice versa.

I think it's a matter of how much you want to change versus how much the outside forces make you want to change. Like I thought I wanted to keep my old name after I declared I was transitioning, but that didn't stick. I'm asking myself the same thing now with my beard. Facial hair is technically gender neutral, but it's perceived to be masculine. That alone makes me want to shave it, but I don't know how I'd feel if I didn't have that association.
