The youtube algorithm is aware of my existence, meaning I watched a few videos about spinning yarn six months ago, and to this day its murky whisperings yet sustain the echoes of that flight of fancy which has long since flown away.
(spinning yarn is cool. I'm no longer interested, but youtube seems to disagree. this sort of thing happens to me quite often.)
I'd much rather see suggestions related to what I'm currently watching, rather than a random assortment of engagement-driven mush that makes my eyes glaze over.
So I made a userscript that does just that. Source code here. Tested with Tampermonkey on Firefox on Windows.
It automatically clicks the "Related" button on the sidebar whenever you navigate to a youtube video.
