Folk would do well to consider the tone of the things they write if they truly want to educate others, and folk would do well to take a good 10-15 mins to parse the intended message of a post past the usual "discourse writing style"
A lot of the time the intent is probably not as confrontational as it is on face value, it's just that the kind of language that folk have learned to use leans more towards (or at least can perceived to be) a confrontational tone for reasons which I can't fully ascertain, which is not helpful, especially so when it concerns earnest attempts at education
This is not to say that the onus is on the OP in all cases, I believe it's a good idea to develop a thicker skin/tougher alloy/what have you when navigating online spaces lest you see even the slightest of coarse language as a personal affront, if only so that you don't respond in kind.
