Well, mastodon.art didn't really work out in the end, which sucks. They just blocked too many instances, and all that was left was all the same like 100 random artists promoting at each other. Definitely frustrating.
I have some friends who use Cohost, though, so I figured I'd come over here since it seems much more lively!
Anyways, here's my (for real) introduction:
I'm Lannan! I'm a comic creator, painter, illustrator, writer, sewist, and mixed media dabbler! A lot of my work is inspired by the Weird, the Wacky, the Wondrous, and very occasionally, the sublime. (There's also fanart sometimes.) My main comic project is Aquapunk (https://aquapunk.co), which I've been working on for a long, long time. It's about technology and agency and belonging and the places that oppression comes from. It's also about aliens and robots and magic if you're into that sort of thing.
With my traditional work, I'm interested in natural media, paint making, foraged color, and organic materials. A lot of my painting is deeply animist, and I try to maintain relationships to the natural world, and the world around me when I paint.
