Coda hasn't spoken to anyone from the village he's originally from since he left. His biological father either left the jungle or was strucken down when he was young, but he never found out which one it was and it doesn't particularly matter to him. When he left for Eorzea he met Oyun, who helped him to get his bearings when he didn't know what he was doing. They were reunited by chance shortly before all the Crystal Braves shit went down and he had to flee to Ishgard.
After Haurchefant's death, Coda told Oyun that he was like a father to him. So now that's what he calls him. The Fortemps in general are also sort of like family to him. He's sort of in a situation where Aymeric is his partner who has become kind of a surrogate son to Edmont, combined with Oyun being his father who is involved with Edmont. Which is further combined with Edmont just looking very fondly on the Scions who stayed in his home. He has two dads that he didn't previously have, is what I'm saying in a roundabout manner.
