I know that Lalas run at the same speed as everyone else, but their very quick footsteps make me feel like I am running faster when I play as one nonetheless. It's tricking my brain. The opposite happens when I play as a Roe.

i'm the same way about mounts. when i still hadn't unlocked aether currents in zones, i tended to default back to my chocobo in part because the animation made it feel like i was moving faster than most of the flying mounts' ground animations do.
