stay for the twist in the middle where he realizes something about how the concept of a tool is more complex than he thought
very good video that emphasizes an important thing about animal cognition: "intelligence" the way we think about it is kind of made up! what exists is adaptability. if bird cognition is something you want to learn more about i recommend one of my favorite books, The Genius of Birds by Jennifer Ackerman
it was through that book that i learned about a tool using bird called the New Caledonian Crow.
these birds have been studied extensively for their tool use, which they exhibit both in and out of captivity. interestingly, they also exhibit social learning. it's possible (probably not confirmed, but idk) that these birds teach each other how to improve the quality of the hooks they use to retrieve bugs from the crevices of trees.
i recommend watching videos of them solving puzzles, it's very cute and very fascinating.
