Well, haven't been on social media for a bit, so here goes nothing. Passionate, polyamorous, non-binary, neo-taíno + 20th century sephardic heritage critter, with Southern roots and Opinions about activism and justice. I don't know what to make of myself any more, so I'll leave it to you. The headmates might also show up occasionally. Don't worry, they're nice.

oh god oh fuck: @zlchxxxo
It's a bit frustrating because I feel like if if I give an opinion I'd make enemies of like half the people here. I will say I think a lot of distaste of lolisho is reinforced in leftist furry circles by anime/loli exclusive ones tending to lean really hard right.
No kidding- I keep thinking to delete my own post. Probably too late for that though
Yeah. Even me not outright condemning you here probably hits a red flag for them. To a degree you can't help but be paranoid these days but the mental gymnastics social media has introduced has been a blight.
I’ve honestly been waiting for this kind of discourse but it feels like we’re missing the forest through the trees: Namely, “Trauma is a complicated and nuanced subject and there’s no one right answer for how to deal with it and/or how others cope with it” but I’m fine with ‘as long as it doesn’t hurt literally anyone else’ (like, actually anyone else, none of these hypotheticals because you can use hypotheticals to justify literally anything)
Lot of replies I saw were “This causes trauma for people and that’s bad” while casting people who use it as a means to work through their trauma as morally evil.
Surely nothing could go wrong with this!
Yeah, I kind of expand on this in my next/last post on the subject. Something being traumatizing for a minority group on here is not in itself a sustainable basis for policy.
The most frustrating part about it all is that the loudest, most angry of the group, simply do not want to have a good faith discussion about it, not even with other survivors. They shout that underage sexual fiction was used to groom them and do not make any other examination of their experiences. So the very discussion makes it SEEM like the 'majority' want the existence of underage sexual fiction to be hidden completely, but what it does is make everyone with a complicated relationship with sexual expression at an age under 18 feel they have to silence themselves otherwise their very lives are in danger.
They ignore the process of intimacy violations that occurred before fiction was even brought into the picture, and in doing so, a far more dangerous narrative is constructed that if we Just Get Rid Of The Bad Fiction, no more children can be hurt. Those of us with a much deeper understanding of the abuse of power and manipulation, know otherwise.
Grooming doesn't start with the first porn of an underage/adult fictional pairing, it starts with love-bombing, it starts with boundary violations in the tiniest ways, it starts with someone you already trust on some level. And that's the uncomfortable truth many refuse to accept.
I essentially agree with what you said. I also do not want to brush off feelings. It's a complicated situation.
