Oh man. That's a whole vibe. Never had a laptop in the 90's, but they just have a cool aesthetic.
Did you know that Active Worlds is actually still running to this day? I'm not sure who still uses it or who's actually paying them money to keep it running, but it's there.
i would have loved to have a computer like this 20 years ago but today i would be like "squints HUH? I'M TOO OLD TO SEE THIS SCREEN"
i went and double-checked to make sure how big this screen is and i realized there are smartphone screens with bigger diagonal dimensions than this nowadays...
Back when I interned at a marketing firm, we referred to this as an “executive toy”. Really impressive looking, but woefully underpowered and an ergonomic nightmare to use. I’d still love to have one in my collection though!
