@VixieMoondew asked:

What's one food opinion you will die defending?

unfortunately i hate like, the whole genre of food arguments primarily for petty reasons (in an environment with people from multiple regions and cultures especially i find it easy to fall into a really inane conversation pit where everyone just goes down the line and says whether they like or dislike [olives/pound cake/takoyaki/shredded carrots/whatever], and it can get really vehement and hyperbolic) but also reasons that i will concede are genuine (i was raised vegetarian and people don't always know how to be normal about it)

so i'm just never going to fight on the hill of "everyone HAS to enjoy the food i like and enjoy it in my way" but i will stake out "it is good to have butter, salt, and spice in food" and perhaps a tentative sally into "tofu is best when it's been marinated and/or fried and/or dipped in sauce and you should try it prepared a couple different ways that aren't Plain Bricks of Tofu before you say you don't like it"
